STACY FAULKNER LICSW MA RYT RMT
Clinical Director/Owner
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
Certified Art Therapy Practitioner
Registered Yoga Teacher
Reiki Master Teacher
As an educator for over 25 years with a strong focus on cognitive and behavioral development and its relation to academic success, Stacy brings a unique offering to the clinical setting as an MA, MSW, LICSW. Stacy has always worked in the “helping” professions to provide support and advocacy for children, adults, and their respective family systems: as an EMT, a Lead preschool teacher, a Director and owner of a Montessori preschool, and as a professor and academic advisor in higher education. As a tutor and academic coach, Stacy applies scaffolded measures to employ, fortify and nurture skills to reduce struggles imposed by AD[H]D, and various executive functioning challenges.
In addition to her many years as an educator, both in Early Childhood/Elementary Ed and in Higher-Ed, she has also invested her professional abilities to social-emotional support in the clinical space, as a licensed independent clinical social worker, to ensure overall health and well-being of her clients.
Stacy works with children, adolescents, teens, adults, couples and families. She is well-versed in Signs of Suicide and Calm Classroom curricula. She skillfully utilizes an eclectic counseling approach, employing Systems Theory, Psychodynamic Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral techniques, Mindfulness, Structural Family Therapies, Social Learning Theory and art and play therapies. She’s also often uses the power of percussion/drumming and tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique EFT) in some sessions.
Stacy also offers 1:1 Parenting support, Pre-Post partum support, Couples and Family therapy, Expressive Art Therapy.
Additionally, Stacy has spent the past decade working in wellness, specifically as a Registered Yoga Teacher (200hr RYT) and Reiki Master Teacher (RMT), offering yoga, meditation, and life-coaching. Stacy believes that finding balance is the key to social-emotional wellness; and that "balance" presents differently in each individual's journey, as it is not synonymous with "perfection." The process is as unique and diverse as humankind.
